Team Member/Scent Consultant for Chicago’s very own Pour-Your-Own Custom Candle and Fragrance Making Experience at AURA Candle Bar.

LOCATION

3338 N Southport Ave, Chicago — located in the Southport Corridor in Lakeview, just a 2-minute walk to/from the Brown Line at Southport Station.

HOURS & Availability

Part-time positions available primarily on weekends, with occasional evening and required holiday availability.

Studio Hours:

Sunday: 12-5

Monday: Closed

Tue–Wed: 12-7

Thur-Fri: 12-8

Saturday: 11–8

WHO WE ARE

AURA Candle Bar is a socially interactive, pour-your-own retail fragrance and candle making class experience bringing people together to explore and create with scent. We invite guests to custom-blend fragrances in our customer-'scentric' atmosphere. AURA Candle Bar's elevated fragrance and candle making experience has been named one of the top Chicago experiences by Google, YELP and Trip Advisor.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals with a completed bachelor’s degree who currently hold a full-time position and are looking for meaningful part-time weekend work in a creative, elevated environment.

We’re looking for team members who are self-aware, professional, and intentional. You enjoy connecting with people and take pride in creating a polished, elevated fragrance experience — helping make every guest’s visit to AURA Candle Bar the best part of their week.

The Role

By bringing initiative and resourcefulness to the studio, you help create a calm, welcoming space where guests can step away from the chaos of daily life. From greeting guests at the door to guiding them through custom fragrance blending, you play an essential role in shaping their experience.

Scent training provided — you’ll receive hands-on guidance to confidently lead guests through fragrance blending and candle making.

This role requires:

• Comfort speaking to small groups in a public setting
• Confidence in setting clear boundaries with warmth
• Strong task prioritization skills
• Awareness of retail operations and flow
• A calm, composed presence under pressure

Pay starts at $15/hour: $25+/hour with tips

Living close to the studio is a big benefit

Must be comfortable standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment and lifting up to 45 pounds
